Brass insert is nonmagnetic, corrosion resistant, and electrically conductive.
Tapered shape makes it easier to guide insert into a hole. To install, use a drill bit and reamer to create a tapered hole. Heat insert with a soldering tip so it melts the plastic when installed. As the plastic cools, it solidifies around the knurls and ridges for excellent resistance to torque and high tensile strength.
