Titan™ Competition rings are made from a specially formulated silicone designed to outperform standard pinball rubber. They are durable, easy to clean, and brightly colored, with better resistance to UV light, drying, and cracking. The result is a ring that typically lasts much longer than traditional rubber.
Flippers: “Unload” the tip
Install the rubber on the flipper bat.
Pinch the rubber and push it toward the tip of the bat to remove tension at the tip.
Stretch it toward the tip until you see a small visible gap between the tip of the bat and the rubber.
Ongoing maintenance
Rotate the rings about once a month (more often if the game sees heavy play) to even out wear.
Slingshots: even tension matters
Pre-stretch the ring slightly.
Install it on the sling posts.
Pull two sides at a time, repeatedly, to distribute tension until it feels even across all three posts.
Check your posts
Inspect the post grooves for sharp edges.
Star posts and metal posts can have sharp corners that cut into the silicone “skin,” which can cause early failure.
