New Swemmer Electronics replacement Williams part No.D-7997 System 3 - 7 Driver board
This board drives all MPU controlled lamps, displays, flippers, solenoids in the game and interfaces all playfield switches to the MPU board.
Lamp matrix row and column transistors have been replaced with FET's (Field Effect Transistors) to reduce heat, power consumption, intermittent game "lockups" and improve electronics durability.
New on-board LED DMD (Dot Matrix display) for the lamp matrix feature has been added to monitor lamp rows and columns. The 8x8 matrix block aids troubleshooting during lamp test.
The original 40 pin Molex connector can be used or a 40pin IDE cable (NOT Included). Boards will mount normally to the back box mounting brackets. The driver board will hang somewhat lower under the mpu board if the IDE connector is used; but will mount on the WMS mpu and the other mounting holes when those are used.
