Scratch guard UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) peel and stick tape 1/2 in. x 15 foot roll. 5 mils. thick
Prevents scratches and wear to mirror blades, cabinet interior art, and cabinet paint when applied to playfield edges. 15 foot roll is sufficient to protect 4 typical 43 inch length playfield edges. The 5.0 mil tape is thin enough for any playfield installation and forms a “slip plane” effect that ensures frictionless contact.
UHMWPE is odorless, tasteless, and nontoxic. It is resistant to corrosive chemicals except oxidizing acids; has extremely low moisture absorption, very low coefficient of friction, is self-lubricating and highly resistant to abrasion, 15 times more resistant to abrasion than carbon steel. Tape does not let ink, adhesive, or other tacky substances stick to its surface.
Coefficient of friction is significantly lower than that of nylon and acetal, and is comparable to that of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, Teflon), but UHMWPE has better abrasion resistance than PTFE.
Impact-resistant backing ensures protection of surfaces against abrasion, wear, marks, or scratches.
