The show took place from August 20-21st, and included meetings with actors from horror & science fiction films, cosplay contests, various vendors, but most importantly.. a Pinball Arcade! The team set up over 60 pinball machines at the show and set all the machines to free play for the weekend, making Arcade Alley look fabulous! For the first time in three years at the embassy suites in Frisco Texas with over 50 vendors, 25 events and 400 pinball machines, the Texas pinball festival was back…and is back. Stick with me and we’re going to relive the excitement of this terrific show. I love the potential of an empty hall. This year Marco Specialties arrived in Atlanta with a small caravan, armed with volunteers and Marco employees. We immediately set to work, hoisting up the massive pyramid that would be the crowning jewel of the pinball and arcade room. In the span of 10 hours, the empty concrete-floored, cavernous room filled with games, display pieces and booths. By the end of Thursday night, the pinball and arcade free-play area had taken on a life of its own. This is Pinball Expo’s 35th annual event, and we are very excited to announce that we partnered up with Stern Pinball to create the “Pin Lounge”, our very own ballroom area featuring 25+ new Stern games, the Flip-Out Pinball Tournament, and other exciting events!!
July was an amazing month full of two of the top Pinball and Arcade shows in the country! We traveled to Atlanta, GA & Santa Clarita, CA to celebrate more pinball with the east and west coasts. The headlining game at SFGE this year is Stern Pinball’s Black Knight: Sword of Rage PREMIUM The Southern-Fried Gaming Expo (SFGE) is a 3-day fan convention focused exclusively on all forms of gaming. The expo is held July 12-14 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Convention Center in Atlanta, GA, and boasts over 250 full-sized arcade games, pinball machines and console systems, along with tabletop gaming, vendors, special guest speakers, a film fest, wrestling, tournaments and more! SFGE is a family-friendly event that will be fun for all ages.
We are proud to be sponsors for the 12th annual NW Pinball & Arcade show in Tacoma, WA! The enthusiast crowd here is super welcoming and it was great to see so many age range of gamers playing together at the show! With almost 500 games, the game collection this year was stunning. Old wedgehead pinball to arcade games from the 70’s and even brand new games like Halo Arcade and Black Knight: Sword of Rage Pinball were all here!! They even managed to bring out the world famous GIANT Hercules pinball machine!!
