Stern Pinball moves to larger facilities

Stern Pinball Inc. announced its move to larger facilities in Elk Grove Village, Ill., just minutes from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. The new 110,000-square-foot facility at 2001 Lunt Ave. enables the company to consolidate operations to improve efficiencies and better support global growth initiatives. The expansion is in response to the continued worldwide growth of the pinball industry, the resurgence of which has been fueled by a rapidly growing international collector community, expanding competitive player leagues, and renewed commercial demand driven by a new generation of players discovering the allure of the silver ball. The new facility approximately doubles the company’s design, engineering, and production capacity.

“We’re looking forward to calling Elk Grove Village our new home,” said Gary Stern, company Chairman and CEO. “The proximity to Chicago O’Hare Airport, one of the largest and busiest airports in the world, will make it even easier for pinball fans around the globe to visit our facility as well as metropolitan Chicago, the ancestral home
of modern pinball.” The company was previously headquartered in Melrose Park, Ill.
